Buxom Says-
A foundation so weightless, it's like wearing nothing at all. This skin-pampering formula delivers breathable coverage and is clinically proven to increase hydration, brighten and smooth skin while softening the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Formulated with vitamin C, tamarind seed and marine algae extracts to deliver a weightless, breathable texture that seamlessly smooths right in and lasts up to eight hours.
Is it for real? Keep reading to find out!

If I had to sum up Buxom's first try at foundation in a word...it would have to be AWESOME! I'm not the world's biggest Bare Escentuals or Bare Mineral's fan when it comes to foundations, to the point of I really don't like many of their products, but if Buxom is a brand intended to fill in the gap of what is lacking from Bare Escentual's Complexion products, then they have surely surpassed my expectations!

Promises & Claims:
Buxom Show Some Skin Weightless Foundation is available in 10 shades which range from fair to deep and suit warm and cool undertones. They are following the current "your skin but better" trend by promising weightless, natural looking, flawless coverage, which is essentially what all women want isn't it?

Buxom isn't boasting claims of anti-aging miracles or any preposterous claims, they simply say it is a lightweight foundation with some moisturizing properties, all of which are true.

They claim that it will smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles which any well formulated foundation should, but what really sets Show Some Skin Weightless Foundation apart is the fact that it works, and it works well.

Shades:
I wear the shade Fair Game which is the lightest shade and suited for neutral undertones, but I can get away with Dim the Light which is a light shade for yellow undertones. They also have In the Buff for those with pink undertones and the pattern continues through the medium, tan, and deep shades with multiple undertones being accommodated.

Each of the shades have some catchy & semi-gimmicky name like "Almond in the Nude" which show that the brand caters to young adults, but still, the play on words are cute and the formula itself will still suit aging skin pretty well.

Performance:
Coverage is light to medium, but it is accomplished in such a thin layer of foundation and it does blend so seamlessly that it will cover most average-moderate skin woes. The finish is a natural satin finish, its not dewy or shiny and should suit dry-normal-slightly oily skin well.

Those with oily skin will probably prefer more of a solid matte finish, but this is quite natural looking.

Wear time is impressive for a foundation that is presented as moisturizing since those usually wear away the fastest. In many ways, the formula is very reminiscent of It Cosmetics CC Veil Beauty Fluid Foundation which I absolutely adore save for the inclusion of some irritants, and it is also similar to Urban Decay's Naked Foundation which is also a winner.

Overall:
This one is worth trying for sure, although I have to say, where it is an awesome light weight summer foundation with virutally no cause for complaints!

Anyone else tried it yet?

    1. Yes it does. Thanks for pointing that out.

Initially I missed the SPF 30 when I wrote the review. I went back & added the "SPF 30" to the title but forgot to edit the post. Thanks for pointing that out. Sorry for any confusion!
