CRUELTY FREE!!!

Laura Geller has just release her newest addition to her concealer collection, her Creaseless Concealer Line Smoothing Pen, whic promises to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles in a crease-free, emollient formula! Wondering if this is worth checking out? Keep reading for your answer....

I'm generally not a huge fan of pen concealers, I find that their application is usually sub-par and a secondary brush or fingers are always needed. I also find that they are often extremely expensive with cost per gram or milliliter often being 3-4 times as much as other dispensing methods.

Laura Geller Crease-Less Concealer Line Smoothing Pen may have turned the tide for me in regards to pen concealers. In fact, I am really impressed.

Formula:
Housed inside is an emollient formula just like Laura claims, which is a total twist from the usual thin, water-soluble silicone formulas you typically see in these products. The concealer is not as thick as something like  Tarte's Marcuja Creaseless Full Cover Concealer, Concealer, but it is pretty close to Too Faced Absolutely Flawless Flexible Coverage Concealer, and a good deal more pigmented than something like Mac's Moisture Cover Concealer.

It's also got less of "grease paint" feeling than Laura Geller's Real Deal Concealer. I always liked the Real Deal Concealer, but this shade range is more neutral and the Crease-Less Concealer does set on its own to some extent. (This is a minor issue with the pen dispenser so you must be sure to use all the product which is dispensed to prevent dried concealer crusties.)

Use & Performance:
Because of the very pigmented formula, you can easily achieve full coverage and this will work beautifully under your eyes. You may find that you need to lightly set this with powder if you have oily skin, but if you have dry skin you will likely adore it.

I wouldn't recommend it for use on blemishes because of the satin finish and emollients in the formula, but its not advertised as that. It will crease minimally, and even less so if you choose to set it. With the latter option, you can count on all day wear without any worry about your problem areas showing up!

As for line-smoothing claims, they are actually partly true because the concealer will make lines less visible, and the concealer is equipped with many hydrating properties which, like any moisturizer, will "plump" skin up, but don't rely on this to reverse years of aging or wrinkles on a permanent basis, it is, afterall, a cosmetic product!

Shades:
The shade range is a little limited. With only three shades available Laura Geller's Crease-Less Concealer will suit most light-tan skin tones. Those who are very pale may find that Light is a little too dark.

In fact, the shade range is also very reminiscent of Too Faced Absolutely Flawless Concealer, which is also available in three shades, although Laura Geller covers a slightly broader range of skintones. Laura's lightest shade is more neutral and lighter than Too Faced's, and Laura's Darkest shade is a hair darker as well, so that's something that will make many people happy.

I can get away with Light without any issues, but there are people fairer than me so I'm curious to hear how they fared, but if you look below you will see that the shades do run lighter than the Real Deal Concealer.

As for application, because its emollient and thicker, the brush dispenser works better than other similar products, but you may still need to pat into place with a concealer brush for your initial application, but the packaging makes it perfect for touch ups  the go!

All in all, this is definitely a curious product which is definitely worth trying if you can find your shade!

Anyone else tried it yet? Thoughts?
