Mally Beauty Age Rebel Nourishing Concealer/Long Wear Luxe Brightening Concealer (QVC) Review & Swatches

Fair
Mally Beauty Age Rebel Nourishing Concealer
& Mally Long Wear Luxe Brightening Concealer

CRUELTY FREE!!!

Price: $35 for 4 grams
Approx $8.75/gram

Let me clarify the confusing title.
-Mally's NEW Age Rebel Nourishing Concealer is available at Mally's Website
- Mally's Long Wear Luxe Brightening Concealer is available at QVC.

Here's the catch:
They're IDENTICAL products. One is a "QVC Exclusive" in name only. It's a fairly common strategy, to make one product and slap two different names on it. I'll eventually do a post on the worst marketing schemes by cosmetic companies, but this won't even make the list. Both "versions" sell for the same price, and its only important to know incase you're looking for your shade and one's sold out, or one is offering free shipping, etc.

As for the product itself, Keep Reading!

About the Age Nourishing Concealer, Mally says:
"Over the years I have been blessed to create some amazing formulas. Concealer is such an important part of your makeup routine but sometimes it can be dry and obvious. I am so proud to introduce Age Rebel Nourishing Concealer. This, my Loves, is like no texture you have ever felt!! It is a professional, makeup artist quality formula that has a balm to liquid texture. The concealer will not settle in lines or wrinkles and it has just the right amount of brightness to perk up your entire face"

About the Long Wear Luxe Brightening Concealer, QVC says:

Go pro. Put a red-carpet-ready finishing touch on your look with this cream concealer. The long-lasting formula contains an infusion of special extracts that offer smoothing and lifting properties to remodel the appearance of fine lines and leave skin looking flawlessly smooth and radiant

The ingredients for BOTH products are: Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Octyldodecanol, Talc, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Dextrin Palmitate, Dipentaerythrityl, Hexahydoxystearate, PTFE, Synthetic Beeswax, Polyethylene, Ethylene/Propylene Copolymer, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Hydrogenated Styrene/Isoprene Copolymer, Alcohol, Octyldodecyl PCA, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-DI-t-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Dipropylene Glycol, Water (Aqua), Quercus Suber Bark Extract.

You get .14oz or 4 grams in both versions, and they both are available in five shades, Fair, Light, Medium, Tan, Deep.

I usually can get away with Light in Mally products, but this was the first cream/emollient product of hers I had tried, and those are ALWAYS lighter than their liquid counterparts, like ALWAYS. Anyways, I got Light, and boy it is LIGHT!!!! I can not believe that they make a lighter shade! Fair must be equal to NC00, because this is about NC10!

Regardless, I could still try it out and review it, with reverse racoon eyes & all! I have to say, I am SOOOOO impressed with this! It definately has a liquid-balm consistency so Mally's description was on point there. It has AMAZING pigmentation! Usually when you have a product that is this smooth, creamy and blendable, you lose a fair amount of pigment, but this is one of the most pigmented concealers I have seen in a while. Definately top 5% for pigmentation!

I want to say it surpasses Bobbi Brown's Corrector and Laura Mercier Secret Concealer, and to be honest it may. The fact that its so blendable without any of the tackiness is such a plus! It literally will not cake up no matter how much you apply! Its consistency is a cross between a standard cream concealer & a petroleum based one, but most don't come close coverage wise. It is FAR more creamy and builds as well as MAC Studio Finish too.

If you're looking for a Smooth, Blendable, Creamy Concealer that has an amazingly light feel and totally full coverage, this is one to try. I probably wouldn't use it too much on blemishes, but for under eyes its magic. If you use a ton of it (which you do not need to) you will have to set it with powder, but that's true for all emollient concealers.

This definitely isn't you typical Stick Concealer formula that needs to "warm up" to be blendable. I think this would be blendable straight from the jar even in the Arctic Circle! It's just THAT creamy!

As far as any anti-aging benefits, I can't comment as that's not my expertise. I do however, know that jar packaging doesn't allow for optimal stability with antioxidants, so do keep that in mind and don't go substituting your skincare regimen with a cosmetic product of any kind!
