Estee Lauder EE Creme (Even & Enlighten) SPF 30New for Fall 2014

Estee Lauder and Lauder owned companies have been at the forefront of the BB & CC Creams since the fad began a few years ago.
Unfortunately, Lauder missed their chance to launch the first "DD" Cream so they took the opportunity to release the first "EE" cream.
Estee Lauder says that the "EE" stands for "Even & Enlighten" and there is an obvious implication that their EE Cream is the next big thing and if you're still using a BB or CC Cream you're totally stuck in 2013,
If you've read any of my posts about Lauder-owned-company BB & CC Creams than you can probably guess my stance on the "EE" Cream.
Estee Lauder owned companies all have released a new Tinted Moisturizer, BB Cream and/or CC Cream the past few years (along with 90% of all cosmetic companies.) The thing with the Lauder brands though, is that all of these formulas are derived from only two basic formulations.
The base ingredients of these BB & CC Creams are all the same. Each company will then play around with the shades, add some anti-oxidants, (maybe throw in some fragrance and an irritant or two for good measure), deign some new packaging and you're good to go!
Assuming that Estee Lauder chose to walk a different path with the EE Creme, let's look at what they have to say:

By day, delivers high-level Spf 30 protection and powerful anti-oxidants to help prevent sun damage and defend against other environmental assaults that lead to uneven skintone. In multiple shades to suit a wide range of skin tones"
If you've tried Lauder's Clear Difference Complexion Correcting BB Creme or their Daywear Anti-oxidant BB Creme, these claims probably look a tad familiar to you...
Not surprisingly, Estee Lauder stayed true to form with their EE Cream. They did add some anti-oxidants but no necesasrily better ingredients that have anymore anti-aging capabilities than the ones already in their Daywear Anti-Oxidant BB Creme and they also maintained the cucumber-melony fragrance that's in the Daywear BB.
In fact, aside from the slight (and I mean slight) differences in the shades' initial appearance, if you put the Lauder EE Creme next to their BB's I would bet my life you wouldn't be able to tell the difference!
The EE Cream comes in three shades- Light, Medium and Deep. All of the shades initially pull heavily towards the warm side of the spectrum but they're so sheer anyone should be able to wear them regardless of undertone.
If you're especially pale, you may find Light to be a tad too dark. The only Lauder BB Cream that accommodates fairer skin is their DoubleWear All Day Glow BB Cream but that's a slightly different formula.
The EE Cream itself is thick but blendable and will smooth out to a satiny (almost dewy) finish. If you have oily skin it will probably provide ample moisture for you but if you're skin's very dry you may need a moisturizer underneath.
You can certainly use EE by itself or under foundation just beware that it only provides Sheer-Light coverage.
As far as any "Evening & Enlightening" going on, there is some. Your skin will certainly look brighter or "enlightened" from the satin finish and you will get a sheer level of "even-ing" from the minimal coverage it provides; but you can achieve these results from any Tinted Moisturizer, BB, or CC Cream!
The best anti-aging protection Estee Lauder included with their EE Creme is hands down the SPF 30. It's not a "bad" product by any means, but it's a really redundant product. It's just the same cream with a different name, so if you already have a BB Cream you like, you don't have to worry about missing out on the EE Creme hype!
***If you want a safer, better, and CRUELTY FREE option; check out Smashbox's Camera Ready BB Cream or their Camera Ready CC Cream. Both are almost the same formula as the Lauder BB Cream BUT they come in better shade ranges AND are fragrance free!***
