CRUELTY FREE!!!

Laura Geller's Foundation Stick is one of the few that survived the past few years of the foundation stick shortage in the United States. Laura Geller claims to have created a formula that married "fun to use" with the sciences of modern technology for the "Ultimate Coverage."
Laura Geller's Real Deal Foundation Stick is the ultimate "balanced formula." It is a foundation stick so the waxes may not be the best for the acne prone, but for anyone else with normal, dry, oily or combination skin it's perfect. (Provided that you can find a shade match out of the limited selection of 3 and you're looking for a buildable formula that can provide full covereage with minimal effort.

The fabulous thing about Laura Geller's Real Deal Stick Foundation, is the formula. Real Deal Stick Foundation is a cream formula, BUT, it sets to a soft demi-matte finish with a velvety powdery feel. It's extremely difficult to find a foundation stick (or cream foundation) that isn't too moisturizing/shiny or a Cream to powder foundation that's not too drying. That is where Laura Geller succeeded so incredibly well. Laura included dimethicone (non-soluble silicone) in the Real Deal formula, but it's halfway down the list of ingredients so it provides a gorgeous flawless finish without being overly drying.

Laura Geller Real Deal Foundation Stick doesn't have the excessive slip that Laura Geller's CC Creme Color Swirl Compact and it does set, but it gives you ample time to blend and get into place. Once it sets, it wears absolutely beautifully (particularly for a cream foundation), but those with oily skin will still have to set it with powder.

The SPF factor of 15 that Laura Geller's Foundation Stick has is only adequate if you apply amply. Because of the significant coverage The Real Deal Stick Foundation offers, it's unlikely that you'll want to apply liberally enough to get protection so you should use Laura Geller's Stick Foundation over another sunscreen.

***As of July 2014, Laura Geller seems to have discontinued the Real Deal Foundation Stick which is really a shame. Formula-wise, the closest option would have to be Stila's CC Color Correcting Foundation Stick SPF 20, OR the Napoleon Perdis Foundation Stick. If you're looking for an oil absorbing option, consider Too Faced Air Buffed BB Creme Compact Foundation SPF 20.***
