Lorac CC Cream claims to offer 6 beauty benefits in one:

• Specially tinted to color correct redness, discoloration and imperfections.
• Red Seaweed naturally primes.
• Hyaluronic Acid moisturizes and helps diminish the appearance of fine lines.
• Vitamin C helps brighten.
• Aloe, Chamomile, Calendula and White Peony help soothe.
• Anti-aging antioxidants of Vitamins A & E, Green and White Tea help skin look healthy and youthful.

I'm going to keep this short and sweet, Lorac CC Cream is likely going to end up being either a "love it or hate it" product depending on your skin type.

While it does have the ingredients listed, they're not present in amounts large enough to substitute your skincare. (Thankfully, unlike many other brands. Lorac doesn't claim otherwise.)

If you have dry skin, you will hate it, but if you have very oily skin and are constantly looking for something drying enough to suit your needs, well Lorac CC may just fit the bill.

It has sort of a "thick" texture and finish and it will provide medium coverage, but if you build it up, it doesn't wear in the most natural way for me, but then again, I have drier skin. Those with oily skin may find the strong matte finish to be a refreshing and welcomed change from traditional hydrating BB & CC Creams.

I think that Lorac CC is a superb summer foundation. While it is lacking sun protection, because of the matte finish, Lorac CC Cream will actually work quite well with most sunscreens which often leave behind a greasy or shiny feel that you will find to suddenly be non-existent when used under Lorac's CC Cream.

If you really want to try out a matte finish BB or CC Cream, this is one to consider, but if you have never used a similar formula like Benefit Big Easy BB Cream or Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream you may be surprised at just how matte Lorac CC actually is!

The shade range is limited to three shades but they will suit fair to tan skin tones. Luckily, Lorac made a shade which is incredibly light and will suit the needs of anyone fair with yellow undertones & oily skin. The middle shade is a good match for light to medium skin tones but has more of a neutral/pink undertone. The deepest shade is best for medium to tan skintones and has a neutral/yellow undertone.

Coverage is in the light to medium range. You can build it up but it will perform best in that general range.

Wear time is also impressive, especially when compared to most BB & CC Creams on the market in America which have a satin finish and fade away quickly. Lorac CC may not look the freshest after several hours but it is an ideal candidate for "refreshment" with any type of refreshing spray or other type product which is capable of "rehydrating" makeup.

Lorac CC Cream was one of the first to make this type of formula which I do firmly believe has a place in the beauty world, and is becoming more and more common. Companies like Revlon who have always released creamy concealers are venturing out on a limb with their new Age Defying Targeted Dark Spot Corrector Treatment Concealer which is essentially a much more concentrated version of Lorac CC Cream.

 Benefit's first play at BB Creams was their Big Easy which is comparable to Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream. Both of these options are also similar to Lorac CC Cream, so if you use either Clinique's or Benefit's version and are looking for a Cruelty Free option, be sure to try Lorac CC Cream since you will likely ADORE it.
