What is Revlon's exciting new Age Defying Targeted Dark Spot Corrector Concealer Treatment?

Is it a corrector? Is it a concealer? Or is it an actual dark spot treatment designed to reduce the appearance of dark spots overtime? Can it possibly be all three?
Keep reading to find out!

*Due to Revlon's decision to pull their products from the Chinese marketplace, they are subsequently cruelty free, although this is a tentative situation consumers must remain diligently aware of!
Revlon took a hard left turn from their typical concealer formula with this one. Instead of the moisturizing, emollient, silky formula with a dewy satin finish, they opted for a matte finish, full coverage version.

The consistency is like that of a toothpaste, (the old school tooth pastes that were actually paste-like), but has a sort of whipped consistency. This may be due to the fact that the actual product is dispensed through a sponge tip tube and its becoming "aerated", or it could just be in my head. What is nice about this concealer though, is the sponge tip applicator is removable for cleaning. This will prove especially helpful for users who intend to use the Targeted Dark Spot Corrector Concealer Treatment on acne, since frequent washing will help to prevent the spread of undesirable bacteria & oil.

If you're looking for an under eye concealer, this probably will not be your best bet unless you have extremely oily under-eye skin and virtually no wrinkles. If you're like the other 99.9% of the population and you have some fine lines, the matte finish the Dark Sport Corrector has, along with its thick consistency, will probably appear cakey, thick, and may make your under-eye woes more noticeable.

That being said, I don't think this deserves to lose demerits for its under-eye performance because that is not what it was created for or marketed to. It is presented as a Dark Spot Corrector and it will function extremely well as one, offering full coverage with minimal effort.

Because it sets fast, it may take some practice getting used to blending it in and thinning it out, but once you do get the hang of it, you will be rewarded with all day matte wear which will be especially helpful over blemishes.

Its available in 4 shades ranging from fair-Medium deep. Very dark skinned people likely wont find a match, but everyone else should be accommodated fairly well. As for any claims about actually correcting dark spots over time, Revlon did include some proven dark spot correcting ingredients, but theyre present in very small amounts. If Dark Spots are your concern, Use the Age Defying Targeted Dark Spot Corrector Concealing Treatment as a cover-up for your problem areas, but don't forgo your normal skincare regimen, and Don't Forget Your Sunscreen!!!

Has anyone tried it? What do you think compared to previous Revlon Concealers?
