CRUELTY FREE!!

Ulta's Description:
Create Mally's signature "superstar glow" in three easy steps using this powder trio. First, the shimmer powder lifts and illuminates the cheekbones giving you the bone structure that you have always dreamed of. Second, the shaping powder softly contours making you look like you lost five pounds. Lastly, the glow powder gives you a soft, warm look like you had a beautifully romantic evening.

Times must be changing. While the wording is tasteful, I don't know that basically claiming this will give you the "just laid look" is the best approach for what I always assumed was the typical QVC shopper, but this could just be my gutter mind.

So will Mally's Shimmer Shape & Glow palette really do that much for your complexion? Keep reading!

Mally's Shimmer Shape & Glow Palette is the ultimate all-in-one. You get your highlighter, your blush, your contour, AND if you use the contour with the highlighter, you get a nice glowing bronze. Yes. This sounds good. It's especially good if you happen to be disorganized and always have in your makeup bag the precise product you don't need at that moment!

Mally does color selection extremely well. I have said it so many times I sound like a broken record, but she does. I love the fact that the three shades are already pre-coordinated and they're done so by someone who I actually appreciate, unlike many brands who just say "expertly arranged" and leave my wondering, uhh, yeah but which expert?

If you understand where to put blush vs highlighter vs contour vs bronzer, or at least have an inkling of an idea, than this is the palette for you. Fool proof is an understatement since everything's already done for you. All you have to do is decide if you fall under the Darker or Lighter category.

Mally does this alot with her palettes and she will simply label them Lighter or Deeper but they usually are about the same intensity shade wise, and its the tones that vary. That holds true with her Shimmer Shape & Glow Trio. The Lighter combo is pinker and the Darker combo is more golden. If you have a light/medium complexion with strong golden undertones, I would suggest going with Darker. The reverse goes for if you are medium/tan with pink undertones, I would recommend going with lighter.

Both palettes have almost the same sculpting powder, and the blushes are both a mid-tone shade which can be built up for deeper skintones or sheered out for paler ones making it totally reasonable that there are only two shade options. After all, its much more important you get the undertones right and Mally hit the nail on the head!

If you're looking for the sun kissed look, you can certainly use the sculpting powder which has a very soft satin sheen, and simply put some of the highlighter over it. You can certainly have a sun-kissed effect on/above your cheekbones and use the sculpting powder in the hallows of your cheeks to give you ultimate definition and contours.

I would say this is another cruelty free winner from Mally and you should go get it ASAP!
