Drew Barrymore launched her Flower Beauty cosmetics line which is sold only at Wal-Mart in the spring of 2013. Drew claims that her goal was to make "high end cosmetics at drugstore prices" which is admirable, but what's really impressive is that all Flower Beauty products are made in the United States and NEVER tested on animals!
Skincognito Foundation Stick was an interesting approach for a rookie cosmetiere because of the "mask-like" perception so many people have about them, but Skincognito has gotten a great deal of attention when you consider the relative newness and small scale of the brand (and the fact that it's a foundation stick.)

A cream foundation which is a true cream foundation and should not be considered a cream-powder formula by any means; Flower Skincognito Foundation Stick still manages to be a light-weight formula with a respectable amount of coverage, but the Flower foundation stick is certainly not a full coverage formula.

Paula's Choice reviewed Flower Skincognito Foundation stick and rated it as "Average" because the experts had trouble getting it to blend properly and mesh with skin. This is one of the examples of inconsistency that can happen when you have multiple reviewers because they had rated many products as Good or Best that have this same characteristic.

There is a hint of inconsistency with the different shades of Flower Skincognito and how well each shade does eventually blend. This may actually be more closely related to the foundation stick's production batch than the actual shade, so it's something to consider but shouldn't prove much of an issue because any differences are barely noticeable.

Flower claims Skincognito delivers a "translucent second skin finish" and that's more or less true because Skincognito really doesn't like to be built up beyond the lighter side of medium coverage. It also will agree with normal or dry skin better than oily skin because of it's emollient formula.

The 8 shades of Skincognito Foundation Stick which are available are all very reasonable and will suit the fairest of the fair through deeper tan skin, just take note that the lightest shade is slightly yellow so if you're very fair with pink undertones it may not work out too well. SF3, the third lightest shade, will suit most fairly light skin and is more neutral than pink but more pink than yellow. (If that makes sense?)The alternating pattern of undertones is pretty consistent throughout the 8 shades.

While Flower's Skincognito Foundation Stick may not be the most elegant of flawless foundation stick on the market, it is a good option to consider if you're looking for something for touch ups or you have normal-dry skin and find most cream foundation sticks are too heavy and lighter weight, cream-powder formulas are too drying. The lightweight formula of Skincognito is absolutely one of it's strong suits, but the lighter-weight coverage may alienate people that are looking for fuller coverage!
