It YSBB CC Cream
Price: $38 for 1 ounce
CRUELTY FREE!!!

It Cosmetics have certainly taken the beauty world by storm the past few years with their It Bye Bye Under-Eye Concealer, so it made sense that they would jump on the BB/CC Bandwagon with their addition of Your Skin But Better Color Corrective Cream SPF 50!

So is it a worth while addition or a bust?

It claims
"It's your full coverage foundation, brightening color, anti-aging serum, pore minimizing primer, dark spot corrector, moisturizing day cream, plus UVA/UVB broad spectrum physical only SPF 50+ all in one easy step! Infused with cutting edge anti-aging technology and is clinically proven to improve skin texture, brightness and increase skin hydration by 179%. Formulated with plastic surgeons to merge high-performance skincare with the benefits of color-correcting makeup. Plus, it delivers luminous and healthy looking skin with powerful anti-aging repair benefits for perfect coverage. Your supple and flawless skin but better!
• Anti-Aging Hydrating Serum ( 50+ Hydrating Anti-Aging Peptides, Essential Lipid-Rich Oils, Vitamins, Extracts & Soothing Botanicals)
• SPF 50+ UVA/UVB Physical Only Broad Spectrum Sunscreen"

Ok, full coverage foundation is probably pushing it a little bit, but you will get light-medium coverage. The texture is a creamy dream and it blends superbly and does do a fabulous job of hydrating skin while providing more than enough sufficient sunscreen!

With all of those positives, the negatives would have to be moderate to severe, and they are. For starters, I personally, have a major issue with the snail excrement included as a moisturizing ingredient. Snail trail juice currently being presented as the newest beauty must-have in Asia, and It was definitely on the forefront of the fad by being one of the first American cosmetic companies to include it in a complexion product, but I take issue with the fact that, aside from being a moisturizing compound (of which I have two dozen in my fridge that don't skeeve me out), there is absolutely no evidence to suggest that the snail excrement has any other significant benefit to skin, and to be honest, even it was some sort of miracle cure, it would probably take me quite a while before I was comfortable enough using it. Call me crazy, but snail trail? Its just gross.

Assuming that the whole snail juice inclusion doesn't faze you, there are still some other concerns you should take into account, such as the multiple citrus extracts added to the formula. Needless to say, citric acid of any sort is just that- acidic; and lemons, limes, oranges & grapefruits have it, alot of it, and, unlike alcohol which will evaporate once exposed to air, the citric extracts will stay in the formula, therefore permanently negating the productive & positive nature of the beneficial cell-communicating ingredients & antioxidants positioned alongside them.

It is for that reason, that I would recommend looking elsewhere if you're looking for an all-in-one, sunscreen, skincare, and foundation product...at least until It (hopefully) reformulated the composition of their Your Skin But Better CC Cream.
