In many ways it is what you'd expect from a cream foundation, an emollient formula housed in a compact, etc. It isnt a cream-to-powder, meaning that it doesn't set to a powdery finish which is best suited to oily skinned gals. Nor does it have the greasy feeling with something like Bobbi Brown's Foundation Stick.
instead it is a beautifully blendable formula which offers full coverage without the gross cakiness or greasiness. I use the shade Light but I also have it in Fair & Medium (just because.)
if I'm feeling unlazy, I will use all 3 shades to mimic Mally's "war paint" contour & highlighting. She does it boatloads better than me but it is pretty foolproof since even i can achieve semi-decent results!
I actually greatly prefer this to Mac Full Coverage Foundation which can be a bit draggy to blend, or at least, it is when compared to Mally's Ultimate Performance Full Cover Professional Foundation.
Mally does a pretty good job of maintaining shade consistency in her foundation & concealer products. I am Fair-Light in her Ultimate Performance Liquid Foundation, her Cancellation Conditioning Concealer and anything else which "sets." For cream/creme/emollient products like her Cancellation Concealer, her Longwear Luxe Concealer or Ultimate Professional Full Coverage Foundation I can bump it up to Light, but I don't use powder often! (The reason for the differences is because products darken as they dry so products which don't dry, maintain color purity and resist oxidation when applied by themselves.)
Mally typically releases a foundation or concealer with 5 shades and then bumps it up to 8 if its popular, so BUY GIRLS, BUY! (&guys:-)
I really love this foundation. I love the silky feel it leaves on my face which isn't tacky or powdery, I love that it lasts all day with a dusting of powder, and I love that it can be built to full coverage or blended down to sheer. I just love the formula & the shade range, while limited, is great. Fair & Light are both options for Light Skinned people like me, but Rich is deeper than Mally's skin so I think that's a pretty fab range!
I know $40 may seem steep, but a little goes a long way and she included 10 grams of product. When you consider that mac charges $34 for 9 grams it seems much more reasonable! Definitely one to try!
Anyone else tried it? I would love to hear your thoughts....
